RAIN...OR A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW... WILL CHANGE TO ALL SNOW EARLY THIS MORNING. THE SNOW MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES AND COULD BE ACCOMPANIED BY SOME THUNDER LATE THIS MORNING AND EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE. ISOLATED HEAVIER AMOUNTS MAY OCCUR IN NORTHWEST ILLINOIS.
A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS 6 TO 8 INCHES OR MORE OF SNOW... COMBINED WITH STRONG WINDS AND POSSIBLY... SLEET...AND/OR FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY AND TAKE YOUR WINTER SURVIVAL KIT.
