Library Trip

The kids all LOVE a trip to the library.  All of the kids signed up for the summer reading program at our library.  There are prizes for reading every 5 days.  We have used a book called Honey for a Child's Heart to get ideas of good books.  It has been a fabulous resource.  When we find a good author we try ALL their books.  A couple of our current favorite authors are Robert Lawson, Steven Kellogg, Cynthia Rylant and C.S. Lewis.  We discovered a bunch of books by Steven Kellogg we missed last time we read through his books.  The children all laughed and laughed while we read Mike Fink, Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind Crockett and John Henry.  One of the books he illustrated, The Rattlebang Picnic is also a favorite.  Today is library day again so we will be heading out after the papers are bagged.
