Flooding in Cedar Rapids

Drew's parents and sister have not been flooded out! The flooding as
anyone who watches the news knows is terrible. The Cedar river is 12
feet above the highest flood records. We are not experiencing any
flooding in Dubuque. The Mississippi is on the rise here without a
doubt. Sunday we went to a river front park. The children played on
a little overlook. Usually this overlook is 3-4' above the water and
they were playing IN the water on the overlook (with safety rails).
Tonight we went to the same park and you can no longer see the
overlook! You could just see the top of the railing surrounding it.
Wow! We also saw the increase in traffic as Highway 80 has been
closed (at Davenport I think) and rerouted.
