Thanksgiving

Abram is at a very curious stage which has been making keeping this updated a challenge. He used to sit placidly on my lap until he was sleeping - no more! He is not only crawling anywhere in the house he chooses to, he is pulling himself up on anything in the house he chooses to. He refuses to sit still unless sleeping. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Drew’s folks here. We rejoiced! We feasted! We worked! We played! Abigail and I made the menu together. We had gotten a stack of Thanksgiving books from the library which played into the size of the feast. Abigail wanted everything Little Bear had at his Thanksgiving. I made a few dishes every day so on Thanksgiving day I was able to really enjoy having Pa and Grandma here! Drew and his Dad wired a light by our back steps. Grandma and the kids watched Linea in Monet's Garden, a wonderful DVD from the library. Around 1:30 we sat down to a bountiful table. After cleaning up we all took a walk in the woods, then played a few games. Between Pa’s silly faces and Grandma’s skillful snapping we got a good family picture taken. When we got home we had pie and Drew read a bit about William Bradford, then exhorted us from God’s word. Before pajama time we played a few rounds of Catch Phrase. The weather was beautiful and the day great.
